Walker Hayes, Alabama's sensational country artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!
Walker Hayes was born in Mobile (Alabama) in 1979 and is singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey at an early age by learning to play the piano and he would take part in choirs, choral groups, and musical theater. He went on to study music (with an emphasis on piano) at Alabama's Birmingham Southern College and in 2004, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. It wasn't long before he got a record deal and he released his debut single (Pants) in 2010. His musical style is best described as a blend of contemporary country (a sub genre of country music that primarily draws from classic honky tonk, but also boasts all the advantages of updated production techniques and equipment, proving that pure country music can sound authentic yet modern) and country pop (a blend of country music and pop music developed by artists of the former out of a desire to reach a larger, mainstream audience). He's had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 3 extended plays, 4 singles (one of which was a top 15 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and has been certified Gold in the US), and 3 music videos.
