The Accidentals, Michigan’s sensational multi genre artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!

The band was formed in Traverse City (Michigan) in 2012 and it consists of Savannah Buist (lead vocals, violin, viola, ukulele, acoustic/electric guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, and musical saw), Katie Larson (lead vocals, accordion, acoustic/electric guitar, cello, ukulele, piano, glockenspiel, bass, and kazoo), and Michael Dause (drums, percussion, vocals, and guitar). Their musical style spans many genres such as indie folk (a style that arose in the 1990s - among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music - and is characterized by a blend of acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation), folk rock, Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound), progressive bluegrass (a subgenre of bluegrass that expands its sonic palette either by adding elements of jazz, folk, country, and rock, or by amplifying the instruments), classical, indie rock, jazz, country, contemporary folk, and folk pop They’ve had a stellar career with 2 studio albums, 1 extended play, and their latest album (Odyssey) comes out in the spring of 2017. They’re received many accolades including 2 Best Band Awards by Traverse magazine, an ArtPrize Music Award, and a WYCE Jammie Award for Best Album by a New Artist.
