Moose Blood, England’s sensational emo artists are bringing their signature sounds to Saint Andrews Hall!
Moose Blood was formed in Canterbury (Kent) in 2012 and is composed of Eddy Brewerton, Mark Osborne, Glenn Harvey, and Kyle Todd. Each band member has a background in the hardcore genre which makes their indie-tinged emo not feel like an obvious choice. They like the sound of bands Dashboard Confessional, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World and their sound has been called “a combination of Brand New's Deja Entendu, The Get Up Kids' Something to Write Home About, and American Football's self-titled album”. Instead of being just another band on ever-growing alternative indie scene, Moose Blood simply play music they love. Making music is not about making a fast buck for them; it’s about creating a friendly and familial atmosphere. In 2013 they released their debut EP (Moving Home) and it overflows with a distinct DIY attitude, distorted yet straightforward melodies, and a suitably melancholic undertone. It successfully captures the essence of youth, free mindedness, and their sunshine friendly emo is bound to increase their exposure all over the world. They released their debut album (I'll Keep You in Mind, From Time to Time) in 2014 and it hit #45 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart along with being #9 on Rock Sound's Top 50 Albums of the Year list.
