Knuckle Puck, Chicago's sensational pop punk and emo artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!
The band was formed in Chicago in 2011 by John Siorek (drums and percussion), Joe Taylor (lead vocals), Nick Casasanto (rhythm guitar andbacking vocals), Ryan Rumchaks (bass), and Kevin Maida (lead guitar). They named themselves after a Stick To Your Guns (a hardcore punk band from Los Angeles) t-shirt that said Knuckle Puck Crew.Their musical style is best described as a blend of pop punk (a fusion genre that typically combines fast punk rock tempos, power chord changes and loud, distorted electric guitars with pop influenced melodies and lyrical themes), emo (a loosely categorized rock music genre characterized by expressive and often confessional lyrics), and emo pop (a genre that retains emo’s confessional lyrics and cathartic energy, while embracing more pop oriented influences to create sound that blends youthful angst with slick production and mainstream appeal). It draws parallels with that of The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, and Rise Against. They've had a stellar career with 1 studio album, 1 compilation album, 4 music videos, 6 extended plays, and 3 Alternative Press Music Award nominations (for Best Underground Band, Album of the Year, and Best Breakthrough Band). Their latest album (Shapeshifter) comes out on 13th October 2017.
