Jake Bugg (birth name Jake Edwin Charles Kennedy) was born in Nottingham (England) in 1994 and is a singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist (guitar, bass guitar, slide guitar, piano, and harmonica). His musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze) and indie folk (a style that arose in the 1990s - among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music - and is characterized by a blend of acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation). He’s had a stellar career with 4 studio albums (all of which were top 10 hits on the UK Albums chart), 3 extended plays, and 21 singles. His eponymous debut studio album was a chart topper in the UK and has been certified double Platinum. He's also collaborated with British hip hop and grime artist Tinie Tempah and he's been the supporting act for Lana Del Ray, Example, and Michael Kiwanuka.
