Greta Van Fleet, Michigan’s sensational hard rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!
Greta Van Fleet was formed in Frankenmuth (Michigan) in 2012 by Josh Kiszka, Sam Kiszka, Jake Kiszka and Kyle Hauck. It currently consists of Josh (lead vocals), Sam (bass guitar), Jake (lead guitar), and Danny Wagner (drums). They’re heavily influenced by 60's and 70's blues and rock 'n' roll and Danny said in an interview, “We all have our own influences, and it’s an eclectic mix, but the core influences we all share are blues, rock and roll, classic 60s and 70s teenage hippie angst. That’s where our style comes from. Nowadays, there aren’t a lot of songs that have real drums in them, so we learned our instruments from the legends of that classic era.” Their musical style is best described as a blend of hard rock (a loosely defined subgenre of rock music featuring heavy use of aggressive vocals, distorted electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, and often accompanied with pianos and keyboards) and American trad rock (a style – influenced by Southern boogie and blues based improvisation - dedicated to keeping the sound and the spirit of classic '60s rock alive). They’ve had a stellar career with 2 extended plays, 1 single (which hit #9 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart), and 1 music video.
Don't miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to American trad rock and hard rock music!
