Electric Six, Michigan’s sensational garage rock, post punk, and disco artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!

The band was formed in Detroit in 1996 and was originally composed of Dick Valentine aka Tyler Spencer (vocals, primary songwriter), Rock and Roll Indian aka Anthony Selph (guitar), Surge Joebot aka Joe Frezza (guitar), Disco aka Steve Nawara (bass), and M aka Cory Martin (drums). They first called themselves The Wildbunch but eventually had to change it due to copyright issues with a British trip hop act of the same name. The band’s been through many line up changes and it currently consists of Dick Valentine, Da Ve (guitar), Johnny Na$hinal (guitar), Smorgasbord (bass), Tait Nucleus? (keyboard), and Percussion World (drums). Their musical style blends rock music with elements of many genres such as garage, disco, punk rock, new wave, metal, synth pop, glam, and arena rock. They cite artists such as Freddie Mercury, Talking Heads, Falco, Devo, Black Sabbath, Queen, and KISS as their main influences. They’ve had a stellar career with 11 studio albums, 1 live album, 2 compilation albums, 12 music videos, and 8 singles. They had a breakthrough with their debut album (Fire) hitting #5 on the UK Albums chart and achieving Gold status.
