Creed Bratton, California's sensational and multi talented artist is bringing an evening of music and comedy to the Saint Andrews Hall!
Creed Bratton (birth name William Charles Schneider) was born in Los Angeles in 1943 and is an actor and musician. He was introduced to music at an early age by his family (his grandparents, mother, and father were musicians) and he started playing the guitar when he was 13. In high school, he tried his hand at acting and he went on to study drama in college. He considers himself an acting-music hybrid and he said in an interview, "I started out playing music, my grandparents had a semi-professional country-Western band, my mother played in bands. And when I got into high school, I did a couple plays and people really responded to what I could do. In college I was a drama major — music was just something I did. After I college, when I came to L.A. to study acting, the Grass Roots thing just took off. So what are you going to do? It was the ’60s, for God’s sake. A man’s got to be a man." He's best known as a former member of the folk rock/psychedelic pop band The Grass Roots and for playing a fictional version of himself on NBC's The Office.
