Cradle of Filth, England's sensational extreme metal artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!

Cradle of Filth was formed in Suffolk (England) in 1991 by vocalist Dani Filth (born Daniel Lloyd Davey), guitarist Paul Ryan, his keyboardist brother Benjamin, bassist John Richard, and drummer Darren Gardner. The band's been through many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Dani (lead vocals), Martin 'Marthus' Škaroupka (drums, studio keyboards, and orchestration), Daniel Firth (bass), Lindsay Schoolcraft (live keys and vocals), Richard Shaw (guitar), and Marek 'Ashok' Šmerda (guitar). While their musical style can be broadly classified as extreme metal, it also includes elements of symphonic metal, gothic metal, and symphonic black metal. They cite first wave black metal acts such as Bathory, Celtic Frost, and Mercyful Fate as some of their main influences. They’ve had a stellar career with 12 studio albums, 1 live albums, 2 compilation albums, 4 extended plays, 18 singles, 20 music videos, 3 video albums, and they've sold over 4 million records worldwide. They've been nominated for a Grammy Award (for Best Metal Performance) and Metal Hammer (a British monthly heavy metal music magazine) has called them the most successful British metal band since Iron Maiden.
