Brian Fallon was born in Red Bank (New Jersey) in 1980 and is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. His mother was a professional musician who performed with a folk group but Brian was strongly influenced by punk and alternative rock. In 1997 he (under the moniker No Release) recorded his first album titled The Coffeehouse Sessions. He went on to be part of many bands but it wasn’t until he formed The Gaslight Anthem in 2006 that he started to get mainstream recognition. The band has 5 studio albums to its name and it’s currently on an indefinite hiatus. In 2011, Brian (along with his guitar tech Ian Perkins) formed the group The Horrible Crowes and they released their debut album (Elsie) in September of the same year. All of the album's songs were written and composed by Brian and the album hit #7 on Billboard’s US Top Rock Albums chart. In 2015 Brian announced that he'd begun working on his debut solo album and it was released in March 2016. The album (titled Painkillers) was warmly received by the critics and it hit #3 on the Top Rock Albums chart.
