Bad Suns, California sensational alternative and indie rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!
The band was formed in Woodland Hills (Southern California) in 2012 by Christo Bowman (vocals), Gavin Bennett (bass), Miles Morris (drums), and Ray Libby (guitar). Though the band members are young, their musical style is reminiscent of the angst ridden songwriting of old school post punk legends. It’s blended with a contemporary and hook heavy indie rock that creates the band’s catchy sound. Chris said in an interview, “I grew up with a lot of world music playing in the house. When I was 10, I started getting heavily interested in the guitar, and my dad began introducing me to his records from the 70’s and the 80’s. Initially Elvis Costello, then to The Clash, The Cure, and so on. All of these artists and bands had a big impact on me, at a young age, as far as song composition goes.” They spent their early days honing their craft at live shows (such as the CMJ Festival) and opening for more popular acts. They went on to have a stellar career with 1 extended play, 4 singles, and 1 studio album. Their latest album (Disappear Here) comes out in September 2016.
