Aquabats

Aquabats, California's sensational ska, rock, pop punk, and new wave artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Saint Andrews Hall!

The Aquabats was formed in Orange County (California) in 1994 by musicians Christian Jacobs, Chad Larson, and Boyd Terry. All of them had been members of various local punk and alternative rock bands and they decided to form an unabashedly silly punk band to make fun of the genre's more aggressive and humorless bands. The chose the name Aquabats because they wanted to sound like a classic surf band. The band’s had many line up changes over the years and it currently consists of Christian Jacobs aka The M.C. Bat Commander (vocals), Chad Larson aka Crash McLarson (bass guitar, backing vocals), James Briggs aka Jimmy the Robot (keyboards, saxophone, other brass and wind instruments, backing vocals), Richard Falomir aka Ricky Fitness (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Ian Fowles aka Eagle “Bones” Falconhawk (guitar, backing vocals). Their style is influenced by the musical background of band members and spans genres such as rock, new wave, pop punk, and ska. They’ve had a stellar career with 5 studio albums, 1 compilation album, 1 video album, 3 music videos, and 2 extended plays. Their work has also been included on many compilation albums.

Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to rock, new wave, pop punk, and ska!
